*The list above contains information from early 2009 to early 2010. Most of the sites use my content management system Hotels Publisher, http://hotelspublisher.com.

I graduated from Vilnius Vytautas Magnus gymnasium in May 2010. I am starting my studies in the Royal Holloway university, UK, where I am taking Economics, Politics & International Relations courses.

Web development is a hobby that gradually over years grew into a job, and now I work at it every day. Nevertheless, I still find it an activity full of challenges, requiring creativity and ingenuity – something I enjoy doing.

I have entered the Web-development world as a designer in 1999. At around that time, I also began working with Photoshop, (then) Macromedia Flash, and Corel Draw. A bit later, I became acquainted with 3D modelling programs such as 3D max or, later still, Maya. I got my first diploma for my programming knowledge in 2002, “for finishing a 30-hour Web page development course".

Since then I have started developing my own projects, which were mostly related to Valve’s products. I have developed a number of personal projects, and worked with government orders, UNESCO, and giant dating services as both programmer and Web designer. However, I consider my biggest achievement to be the creation of the Hotels Publisher system in early 2009. I have been developing it since then, and have rewritten it from scratch many times. It is basically a central CMS which allows me to host many hotels’ websites. They share a common database, which allows me to monitor their activity and proceed to a second step — a better version of hotels.com, which is a future plan of mine.

I am looking for a job as a PHP developer. I am perfectly capable of working with large projects, using frameworks, and understanding various patterns. I am autonomous and capable of learning from books, and can therefore easily immerse myself in new challenges. I am friendly, sociable, and outgoing. However, the job must allow me to combine my studies with work, so I prefer a job that allows me to work remotely as much as possible.
